- decide who will become the plant cell expert, and who will become the animal cell expert.
- research the websites provided and become experts on the functions and appearance of plant and animal cells.
- use a microscope and view a slide of a plant cell and an animal cell to see if you can see the differences.
- fill out investigation reports and use the information to prepare a presentation on the similarities and differences in plant and animal cells.
- create models of plant and animal cells so the Fair Oaks Science Investigation Unit can compare the cell models to the cell left on Ms. Trizzle’s finger.
- tell Ms. Trizzle if she needs to go to the doctor for medicine if you determine the cell to be an animal cell. If it is a plant cell, she will not need a doctor's visit!
